IDOM como ingeniería referente para el proyecto ITER

ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) trata de probar que la fusión nuclear puede ser una futura fuente de energía. El proyecto supondrá uno de los mayores retos tecnológicos y técnicos jamás afrontados. IDOM se posiciona como ingeniería referente para ITER habiendo participado en casi una veintena de proyectos que engloban múltiples áreas de especialización como ingeniería mecánica, sísmica, civil, nuclear, estructural, fluidodinámica y termohidráulica. Entre los proyectos principales aparecen el diseño de los Test Blanket Modules (TBMs), diseño de detalle de las criobombas, soporte a los análisis neutrónicos y la integración de los puertos de diagnóstico.

IDOM ha sido contratado tanto por Fusion for Energy (F4E), Agencia Doméstica Europea para el Proyecto ITER, e ITER Organization (IO) para los siguientes 19 proyectos:
