New Pemex Cogeneration – 300 MW in Simple Cycle configuration
Mexico
The Nuevo Pemex Cogeneration is integrated within the PEMEX-owned gas process complex in the proximity of Villahermosa, State of Tabasco (Mexico).
The project’s main goal was to provide a reliable supply of 500 ton/h high pressure steam to the gas process complex, in particular to provide the feeding of the cryogenic units. This steam flow could be increased to 800 ton/h with the help of the post-combustion included in the HRSG’s.
The main installations of the project include a 300 MWe Cogeneration Plant, composed of two GE-7FA multishaft turbines powered by natural gas, and two heat recovery boilers equipped with post-combustion manufactured by CERREY.
IDOM developed the basic and detailed engineering of the project.
