Reinforcement projects in substations and AT lines

As part of a consortium, IDOM has been awarded one of the most important projects of the National Program for Sustainable Electrification and Renewable Energy (PNESER), being undertaken by the National Electric Transmission Company of Nicaragua (ENATREL): the technical-environmental supervision for 7 reinforcement projects for substations and 138 kV and 230 kV transmission lines.
As the Project Manager Contractor (PMC), the contracted services include the civil-electrical-environmental technical consultancy for seven construction and/or extension of 18 electrical substations, occupying an area of approximately 80,000 m², as well as 455 km of 138 kV and 230 kV transmission lines between them. These projects are located throughout the country: La Virgen (Dept. of Rivas), Malpaisillo (Dept. of León), Yali and El Cuá (both, Dept. of Jinotega), La Dalia and Terrabona (both, Dept. of Matagalpa), and San Benito (Dept. of Managua).
The scope of the PMC on this project extends to all phases of each of the 7 projects: design, procurement management and construction (including testing and commissioning). It includes for all these phases, among other functions, technical support for the preparation of bidding documents, technical and environmental supervision of the construction of works (civil works, assembly of equipment and materials), budgetary control and deadlines, assistance and support in the reception and testing of materials and equipment, and reporting for owner and financial entities.
