ITS systems in Madeira

Vialitoral, according to his commitment to improve the safety in the VR1 highway in Madeira (Portugal), has started a project for the renovation of ITS systems on both the open road and tunnels. The scope of this renovation includes a video surveillance system (CCTV), the VMS, emergency call cabins, a sensor system, a shadow toll system, the tunnel control system and communication network.
IDOM has developed the audit of the project drafted by FCC and technical assistance during the renovation works with the objective of guaranteeing the correct execution of the same.
