Design and Execution of Fire Protection Systems in Several Warehouses in Ascó NPP

This project was developed in the context of the requirement to redesign the fire protection systems of Ascó NPP in several warehouses in order to comply with the new regulations. This design modification was performed in line with the new requirements specified by the insurance company NEIL regarding the implementation of new detection systems and sprinkler systems in several buildings both within and outside the double fencing. IDOM was awarded the turnkey project (EPCC: Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning). In order to fulfill all the technical requirements regarding Quality Assurance, IDOM formed a team of experts who implemented a specific Nuclear Quality Assurance program for this project complying with the most rigorous requirements of the ASME NQA-1 standard.
