The Galdames quarry is an open pit of limestone rock, located in the province of Bizkaia, Spain. Lemona Industrial undertook the expansion and restructuring of the quarry, reaching an annual production of 500,000 tons.
Through a modern washing facility, quality aggregates are recovered in such a way that the deposit is used entirely without generating waste, contributing to sustainable development. The versatility of the plant makes it possible to manufacture a wide range of products such as gravel.
IDOM has designed the facilities for primary, secondary and tertiary grinding (crushers, sieves and conveyor belts), stone washing (including decantation and filtration), and the control center, in addition to the urban development of the site. The services provided included:
