The Bahru Stainless company, belonging to the Acerinox group, has contracted IDOM to develop the engineering for the construction of phase II of its stainless-steel cold rolling mill in Malaysia, with a capacity of 1.5 Mtpa.
The scope of the contracted services included:
- Detailed engineering of construction, main pipes, water treatment plant and cooling systems
- Permission/permit Management
- On-site construction supervision
IDOM has been working for Bahru Stainless in Malaysia since 2009, since the origin of phase I, with a capacity of 200,000 t/year.
