Bahía de Bizkaia Combined Cycle Power Plant – 800 MW

The 800 MW Combined Cycle Thermal Power Plant of Bahía de Bizkaia Electricidad (BBE), located in the Port of Bilbao, is based on a 2×1 configuration, with 2 PG9351FA gas turbines manufactured by GE, 2 recovery boilers (HRSG) natural circulation and 3 levels of pressure of BWE, and 1 steam turbine with intermediate reheating and with refrigeration by sea water in open circuit, also from GE. Under nominal operating conditions, the plant will generate a net power of 777.6 MW, with a consumption in auxiliary services of 12,213 MW.
IDOM has participated in the project since its inception. The scope of the EPC services provided includes:
- Basic engineering
- Detail engineering
- Equipment supply
- Construction, assembly, testing and commissioning of the installation
