Design of substation and 500 kV overhead power lines for CCGT Caleta Obispo of 1,600 MW in Cardones

IDOM has developed the basic engineering for the 500 kV substation and 127 km of overhead power line for the energy generated by the 1,600 MW Caleta Obispo combined cycle power plant located in Cardones, Chile.
The system consists of a 500 kV AIS maneuvering yard and steel lattice towers.
In addition to electrical studies and risk assessment, IDOM has produced the Master Plan for design and construction, cost estimation and technical support to the client during the phase of proposals to the Government.
