Aluminum extrusion plant with a production capacity of 30,000 t/year of billet and 50,000 t/year of extruded profile for Talex in Kizad (the Khalifa Industrial Zone, Abu Dhabi), an extensive industrial and commercial area, strategically located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Butec, the main contractor for the Talex project, has contracted IDOM to develop the detailed engineering of the entire project (5 lines), consisting mainly of two main smelting and extrusion buildings, as well as the associated technological and auxiliary buildings. In a first phase, only 2 of the 5 projected lines were executed.
The scope of services provided includes the detailed engineering for the civil works (buildings and equipment), as well as the mechanical and electrical installations, and subsequent technical assistance during construction.
The plant has been recognized with the award for the 2016 industrial project in UAE.
