Da Gare Park, finalist in the AkzoNobel Awards
Reconocido como una de las producciones arquitectónicas más destacables de la escena contemporánea brasileña
The Brazilian institute Tomie Ohtake was inaugurated in Sao Paulo on November 28th 2001 with the idea of holding national and international art, architecture and design exhibitions. These would be complemented by a parallel programme that includes debates, research, content production, archives and publications, to which the Instituto Tomie Ohtake AkzoNobel Architecture Award was recently added. Its purpose: to acknowledge the most noteworthy architectural productions in the Brazilian scene in terms of innovation and the construction of social areas. In its fourth year, the Award received a total of 190 proposals, from which only 10 finalists were shortlisted. Our Parque da Gare is amongst these. The institute will shortly organise an exhibition on the ten selected works.
