Speaking at the Stadium Business Design & Development Summit
DIEGO RODRÍGUEZ GAVE A PRESENTATION ON THE REHABILITATION OF STADIUMS
The Stadium Design & Development Summit 2017 was held in Barcelona on November 28 and 29. This event is considered to be one of the largest international meetings of professionals involved in the design, construction, remodeling and administration of large sports venues. The summit which will be held in London in 2018, was attended by speakers from the four corners of the World. To name but a few, William T. Mannarelly, Manager of the Heritage Area, Espai Barça, FC Barcelona; Ronnine Hurst, Project Manager of The New Perth Stadium, Department of Sport and Leisure, Australia; Paulina Ahokas, Managing Director of Tampere Hall, Finland; or Diego Rodríguez, Senior Architect at IDOM.
Diego gave an interesting conference on the possibility of rehabilitating stadiums instead of new builds. His presentation was very well received and gave rise to discussion on the subject. IDOM also had a stand at the event, and had the opportunity to share experiences with different people involved in the sports architecture sector.
