World Metro & Light Rail 2018
THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES IN THE RAILWAY SECTOR
For the first time, RAIL Live! – an exhibition and conference within the 14th World Metro & Light Rail Bilbao – was held in Bilbao (Spain). On April 18-19, representatives from 98 countries attended the event on light urban transport, metro and railway.
This well-received congress was a meeting point for the leaders of the railway industry, and the perfect opportunity to test out, firsthand, the latest technologies that are revolutionizing urban transport: predictive maintenance, signaling, engineering, construction, big data, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.
IDOM offered an inspiring vision on public transport with the presentation – How can operators best leverage sustainable and efficient urban transport design? – with ideas and strategies for efficiency, sustainability and effective design. The IDOM expert professionals also shared their perspective of the future development of transport in the cities, all within a broad program of simultaneous conferences in which more than 150 international speakers participated.
