Design and Project Management Construction for the Rehabilitation of the Airfield and Manoeuvring Area at Morelia Airport

IDOM undertook the Project for the Expansion, Rehabilitation and Adaptation to ICAO Standards of Runway, Taxiways, and Commercial and General Aviation Apron at Morelia International Airport in Mexico, comprising reconstruction of over 200,000 sqm of pavements together with a technical audit of the whole airfield and movement area in order to achieve the ICAO Aerodrome Certification.
The main works undertaken on the airfield were: upgrading of runway 05-23 and its shoulders, enlargement of the turning aprons at runway thresholds, improvement works on RESA and runway strips, pavement rehabilitation of taxiways, commercial apron enlargement, upgrading of General Aviation apron, and improvements on runway and taxiways AGL.
