IDOM is supporting the Bilbao Water Consortium to be a more innovative organization
The Bilbao Bizkaia Water Consortium has contracted IDOM to develop its Innovation Plan for 2030
In recent years, the Consortium of Aguas Bilbao Bizkaia has been fostering innovation. For the Consortium, besides innovation being technological, it should also help to improve services, processes and organizational design, focused on people: internal human team, clients, suppliers and society.
In this sense, it has set up an Innovation Committee with the participation of external agents. From its own innovation unit, it manages the innovation process and facilitates the relationship with the other areas of the Consortium. This structure has yielded its first results, such as the open innovation projects led by Beaz, it has collaborated with agents of the Basque innovation ecosystem such as the UPV and has initiated a process to promote a culture of innovation within the entity.
With the aim of continuing on this path, the Consortium has awarded IDOM the contract for the development of its Innovation Plan for 2030, as well as the implementation of specific actions to make it a reality.
During the next 12 months, the IDOM team will work collaboratively with the Consortium to develop and implement an innovation plan for 2030 aligned with its general Strategy and the objectives of Corporate Social Responsibility, which will allow it to meet the goal of becoming a benchmark in the management of the integral urban water cycle by quality of service, efficiency and contribution to sustainability.
