Participating in the Go Latam Summit
The most important sports management seminar in Chile
Last October 24 and 25, the Intercontinental Hotel, Vitacura, in Santiago de Chile, hosted the Go Latam Summit 2022. This event brings together professionals from the sports world to present the latest developments focusing on four pillars: New revenues & business development, infrastructure & education, innovation and digital transformation, and sports evolution focused on the social role.
Samuel Araneda, part of the sports architecture team of our office in Chile gave a talk on the first day. During the presentation, he described IDOM’s vision of the importance of Sports Architecture in today’s society, and analyzed our approach to projects, through several case studies: the renovation projects for the Levante UD, Villarreal FC and FC Barcelona stadiums, and conceptual proposals such as the new San Lorenzo de Almagro stadium in Argentina or the competition for the new Guangzhou FC stadium in China.
On the 25th, Borja Gómez, director of architecture of IDOM Chile, gave a presentation together with Sebastián Soria, commercial manager of the Cruzados club, about the modernization project of the San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium, where Borja showed the key features of the project from the architectural point of view.
