Launch of the Castile and Leon Entrepreneurship & Innovation Strategy 2027
A living, open and evolving strategy that IDOM's Competitiveness and Innovation team has designed together with the different actors in the innovation ecosystem.
The new Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy, EEI 27, is based on a diagnosis and evaluation of the previous EEIA (Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Self-Employment Strategy 2016-2020), an analysis of trends and a participatory process with more than 25 key stakeholders in the region, including companies, universities and staff from the ICE (Institute for Business Competitiveness), which has allowed the construction of a new governance model focused on public-private cooperation, the promotion of entrepreneurship and the international positioning of Castilla y León as an innovative community.
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy is expected to attract €812 million euros, of which €450.65 million will be public and €361.55 million private, with an impact on around 41,000 businesses.
With four strategic lines and two transversal axes that will drive the entire entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, the EEI 27 aims to generate new knowledge and innovations and bring them to the market, strengthening the presence of Castilla y León in Europe, promoting the creation of companies and improving collaboration between agents, carrying out the digital transformation of the business network, as well as helping companies to position themselves in the face of the challenges posed by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
IDOM’s Competitiveness and Innovation team was responsible for the design and implementation of the EEI 27 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy document and accompanied the ecosystem agents present at the event.
