Minimally invasive robotic surgery systems – TREMIR

Spain

In 2021, the Jesús Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre Foundation (CCMIJU) signed an agreement with the Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) for the development of the “TREMIRS Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery Systems” project, co-financed with ERDF funds through the Spanish Pluri-regional ERDF Operational Programme 2014-2020.

The aim of this project is to meet the needs of the Extremadura and Spanish Health System in the field of minimally invasive surgery through the development of innovative solutions in surgical robotics, capable of improving existing systems on the market for application in laparoscopic surgery and microsurgery.

The project is carried out through a process of Public Procurement of Innovation, this process has been coordinated by IDOM through the technical office. To achieve the objectives, IDOM experts have provided support in different phases of the project: preliminary market consultation, tendering, development of solutions and validation of results. In addition, throughout the entire process, communication actions were carried out, as well as the justification of the costs associated with the project to the Ministry.
