IDOM selected for world’s first renewable H2-based integrated steel making plant
H2 Green Steel has selected IDOM as EPCM consultant for the first hydrogen-based Industrial scale integrated steel making plant in Boden. IDOM team is highly grateful and proud to support and be part of one of the world’s largest green H2 based DRI, SMP & RM plant, which leads a giant step towards world decarbonization and sustainability, values that IDOM is strongly committed with.
The integrated, digitized, and automated steel plant will be in Boden, north of Sweden. The green steel produced at the plan will abate up to 95% of CO2 emissions associated with the traditional steel making process and will supply high-quality steel to the European market.
As EPCM consultant, IDOM will undertake the DRI (Direct Reduction Iron), Material Handling System (MHS) and the BOP (Balance of Plant).
