Implementation and and roll-out of an MES/MOM system

Pascual needed to improve its production processes to optimize and manage the efficiency of manufacturing dairy products. To achieve this goal, they turned to the services of IDOM for the implementation of OpCenter PR + APS.
The scope of the project included the detailed technical design of the MES, APS and Control Panel, as well as the implementation of OpCenter EX PR in two plants in Spain. A complete HW and SW architecture was designed and implemented, including equipment signal acquisition. After detailed implementation planning and system commissioning, a contingency plan was established to address potential setbacks.
This project achieved a paperless plant by fully digitizing checklists and in-line controls, and implementing real-time monitoring of continuous and discrete production processes for dairy products. Detailed production planning with finite capacity was established and real-time KPIs and dashboards integrated into MS Fabric were generated.
The implementation and go-live of the system was successfully completed, followed by subsequent deployments and full digitization of manufacturing operations at the plant level. This process marked an important step forward in the modernization and continuous improvement of Pascual’s manufacturing processes.
