Waste infrastructure data analytics and monitoring platform

Saudi Arabia

IDOM has developed a comprehensive GIS platform that enables real-time monitoring of waste activities in Saudi Arabia. This platform includes a set of advanced applications and solutions, interactive dashboards, and the definition of data exchange mechanisms with other government agencies to ensure efficient and transparent waste management.

The scope of work includes the conceptualization of the use cases, the design of the geospatial data model, the collection and integration of all available data from various stakeholders in the Kingdom such as GEOSA, GSTAT, Saudi Post, etc., as well as the implementation of integrated GIS solutions and spatial analysis tools and dashboards.

Main solutions of the GIS Platform:

  1. Geoportal: An interactive web portal that allows users to access and visualize geospatial data related to waste management.
  2. Waste Infrastructure Register: A detailed database that records all waste management related infrastructure in the Kingdom.
  3. Field Inspection Management: Tools for planning, executing and monitoring field inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  4. Citizen Problem Reporting: A system that allows citizens to report waste management issues and track the status of their reports.
  5. Operational Dashboards: Interactive dashboards that provide a detailed view of waste management operations and facilitate decision making.
  6. Integration with major permitting and e-Manifest systems: Integration with permitting and e-Manifest systems to ensure integrated and efficient waste management.
