RELAI 2024: driving sustainable innovation in Latin America
On August 12 and 13, IDOM participated in the Annual Meeting of the Latin American Network of Innovation Agencies (RELAI) 2024 in Lima. This event brought together 13 innovation agencies from Latin America and the Caribbean for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, and the rethinking of strategies for sustainable development in the region.
At the invitation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), our colleagues Liliana Delgado Arias (Colombia) and Jimena Deschamps (Mexico) demonstrated that it is possible to combine sustainability and innovation to address environmental challenges and improve business competitiveness through sustainable value chains.
We help implement tools to help innovate around sustainability and climate change.
The meeting highlighted the importance of integrating sustainability into all stages of innovation, from public policy formulation to practical implementation. We also discussed how to evaluate projects with green criteria and worked on four case studies.
We thank the IDB and PROINNÓVATE for this opportunity to share our experiences and learn in a community committed to change in Latin America and the Caribbean.
It has been an enriching experience and one that strengthens our commitment to innovation and sustainability!
