IDOM joins the Gulf Downstream Association

We are pleased to announce that IDOM has joined the prestigious Gulf Downstream Association (GDA), becoming the first Spanish company to be part of this organization. Founded in 2016 as a non-profit organization, GDA aims to bring together key players in the downstream sector to promote the development of the industry and leverage the mutual benefits of sharing knowledge and best practices.

The Gulf Downstream Association includes the giants of the Persian Gulf oil and gas industry, such as Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI), Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and OQ. It also includes leading technology service companies such as UOP, AXENS, KBR and Haldor Topsoe.

IDOM has been invited to participate as an Associate Member. This is a membership category for engineering and service companies. Ignacio Blanco, Director of IDOM in the United Arab Emirates, represented our company at the annual GDA committee meeting.

As a member of GDA, IDOM can take part in meetings, committees and conventions with key industry players. DOM will strengthen its commitment and position itself as a key player in the refining sector in the Persian Gulf.

Benefits of being a GDA member

  • Knowledge Platform: The GDA provides a unique and interactive platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices related to the industry.
  • Technical Competence Development: Facilitates collaboration between downstream companies, government authorities, technology providers and technical consultants, which helps improve technical competence to international standards.
  • Innovation and Continuous Development: Promotes innovation and continuous development, fostering excellence in all downstream industry activities.
  • Networking Opportunities: Allows contact with industry leaders, potential customers and influential decision makers, both regionally and internationally.

These benefits not only increase IDOM’s visibility and business opportunities in the region, but also foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the refining industry.

Core values of the GDA

  • Collaboration and Networking: Promote the exchange of knowledge.
  • High quality services: Offer services with the best value.
  • Innovation: Encourage innovation and continuous development.
  • Excellence: Pursue excellence in all activities.
  • Sustainability: Support and defend sustainability as a priority.
  • Respect: Strive to be a respected institution that drives the downstream industry.

In line with our internal values, we thank the association for this unique opportunity
