Polish Nuclear Industry Day

Last week, Poland hosted the Nuclear Industry Day. The event, which brought together more than 45 leading companies from the sector, marked a milestone on the road to the commissioning of the country’s first nuclear power plant in 2036.

Among the leading companies that participated were Aldesa Polska, Amphos 21, GDES, EAG, Control Systems Experts, Newtesol, ENUSA and NUCLEONOVA. The presence of these companies is an indication of the importance and international interest in the development of nuclear energy in Poland.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the potential deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) in Poland. These reactors represent an innovative and efficient solution for power generation, and their implementation could transform the country’s energy landscape.

The valuable experience of the Spanish nuclear industry was also highlighted. It has proven to be a point of reference in the sector. Cooperation between Poland and Spain promises to be fruitful, taking advantage of the knowledge and advanced technology that Spain has to offer. On behalf of IDOM, Ilari Soakoude and David Fernandez attended the event, bringing their experience and vision to the dialogue.

The event was organised by ICEX and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Poland, with the support of Foro Nuclear and Izba Gospodarcza Energetyki i Ochrony Środowiska. The Nuclear Industry Day, thanks to its excellent organisation, not only strengthened the ties between the two countries, but also boosted dialogue and cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

This event not only reaffirms Poland’s commitment to nuclear energy as a sustainable and safe source, but also opens up new opportunities for innovation and technological development in the sector.
