MUJEResTEAM
IDOM is actively involved in three groundbreaking projects that aim to increase interest in science and technology among young people, especially girls, and to highlight and promote the work of women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics).
Women and
engineering
Organized by the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering
(RAING)
Inspira
STEAM
Developed by the University of Deusto.
A female engineer
in every school
Affiliated with the Aragón delegation of AMIT (Association of Women Researchers and Technologists).

Women and engineering Project
Launched in 2016 in response to the observation by engineering universities that the number of students in general and, in particular, female students was declining.
The project aims to raise awareness of the contribution made by Science, Technology and Engineering to the quality of human life and to encourage women to become involved in these fields.
IDOM has been actively collaborating with M&I since 2021, participating in the programs: Women and Engineering visit your education center and Transformational mentoring, and organizing conferences.

Inspira STEAM
This pioneering project aims to stimulate interest in science and technology among young people, especially girls. It is based on awareness-raising and mentoring activities carried out by professionals from the world of research, science and technology.
This is the first time that group mentoring has been used in a project to promote STEAM among primary school students.
In 2021, IDOM signed a cooperation agreement. Since then, several team members have been involved as mentors.

A female engineer in every school
The AMIT Association was founded in 2001 to defend the interests and equal rights and opportunities of Spanish women researchers and technologists.
In 2016, AMIT Aragón launched the initiative "An female engineer in every school", supported by the Aragonese Institute for Women, the Government of Aragon and the University of Zaragoza, which aims to show the importance of engineering in our daily lives to the youngest children and to encourage girls' interest in technological careers.
IDOM signed a collaboration agreement with AMIT Aragón in 2023, through which some volunteer colleagues visit schools in the region.
