At the “Rail, a solution for a better future” conference, IDOM underlines sustainability as a solution for a better future
On July 4, IDOM’s Rail Systems Division had the pleasure of organizing the conference “Rail, a solution for a better future” in Madrid. The event, which was attended by more than 100 people, both in person and online from our offices around the world, emphasized IDOM’s commitment to sustainability and underlined the interest of our professionals.
During the presentation, Iban Mirones Truan (Railway Systems Director) reiterated the transformative power of Rail Division in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and our commitment to our clients to provide them with unique, high quality and sustainable solutions.
Mauricio Gómez Villarino (CSO) explained in detail how sustainability is integrated into IDOM’s corporate culture and how this will have a positive impact on the planet and the society where we carry out our projects.
Next, Elena Calcerrada Romero (Infrastructure Sustainability Manager) and Borja Manzano Hidalgo (Railway Systems Sustainability Lead) addressed the implementation of sustainability in the daily work of the Railway Systems Division. They presented the methodology of the Sustainability Guide for Infrastructure Projects developed by IDOM and shared examples of their own projects that have enhanced the dimensions of sustainability. They highlighted how the working vision and collaborative design approaches based on BIM methodology ensure the delivery of more sustainable and higher quality projects.
All in all, this informative day provided an excellent upskilling opportunity for all participants. We are sure that this knowledge will result in improved services for our clients in the development of railway infrastructure. For its part, IDOM reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and continues to lead the industry in the search for innovative and sustainable solutions for a better future.
