IDOM fosters the urban transformation of Medellín
IDOM is celebrating an important milestone for urban sustainability: the implementation of Transport Demand Management Measures (TDM) in the Urban Air Protected Zone (UAPZ) of Medellín.
Developed as part of the technical assistance provided to the Science, Technology and Innovation District of Medellín through the Climate Action Implementation Programme, funded by the UK Government and implemented by C40 Cities, this project aims to improve air quality and well-being in an urban area challenged by high levels of pollutants.
Our consulting work has resulted in a comprehensive feasibility study. This includes a careful selection of vehicle restriction measures and a comprehensive analysis of the legal, mobility and environmental components. This approach also incorporates gender and equity perspectives, reflecting our commitment to equity in urban management. At IDOM, we are proud to contribute to this progress and reaffirm our commitment to the sustainable development of Medellín.
