IDOM is participating in the Fair Water conference in Washington
RESILIENCE AND THE GOVERNANCE OF WATER, ARE SOME OF THE CHALLENGES THAT THE SECTOR IS FACING AT A GLOBAL LEVEL
From 23 to 25 May, the “Fair Water: Tackling Global Water Challenges” conference was held in Washington D.C. (US), organized by the ICEX. Several multilateral organizations (the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, USAID and the Millennium Challenge Corporation) presented their strategies in the water and sanitation sector, and solutions to the new demands of concepts such as climate change and resilience. The companies present also had the opportunity to show their capacity in these fields.
IDOM shared its experience in the management of water resources, through the project of the National Program for integral management of the Nam Ngum river basin in Laos. Even in countries where there is an abundance of resources, water management and the assessment of the impact of climate change is always a challenge. From the World Bank itself, they recognized the great work undertaken in this project, a pioneer in Laos, and that has served as a guide for later experiences in other basins of the country.
Specialized knowledge, together with our integrating capacity and the commitment of our professionals, has allowed IDOM to develop highly relevant works in the various sectors that make up the water cycle: planning, treatment, distribution, etc. If you want to know more about our Water projects, you can click here.
