Introducing our District Heating and Cooling solutions at Rebuild
Last Thursday, September 23, IDOM participated in the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0, REBUILD, which took place at IFEMA. Invited by the Association of Engineering and Consulting Engineers (AEDICI), Antonio Villanueva (IDOM) presented the work carried out in the Energy Framework Masterplan for Madrid Nuevo Norte, the new urban extension of the city of Madrid.
Our client, the Castellana Norte District, and a multitude of professionals from the sector were present in the auditorium, who received first-hand information from the Framework masterplan, which makes the urban action the first of its kind in Spain classified as near-zero energy consumption. The solution incorporates the design of a highly innovative fourth generation District Heating and Cooling system, which has been part of the proposal presented as an innovative project to Horizon 2020, the most ambitious research and innovation program launched by the European Union (EU). Horizon 2020 is expected to lead to more breakthroughs, discoveries and global firsts, turning the great ideas presented into market products.
