Juan Ramón López Laborda, Professional Merit Award
THE CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOOL, RECOGNIZES THE PROFESSIONAL WORK OF THE DIRECTOR OF IDOM INFRASTRUCTURE
As usual each year, the College of Civil Engineers, Channels and Ports of Madrid, has awarded the 2020 college distinctions, with which it recognizes the members who have stood out for actions of unquestionable merit.
One of these medals has been awarded to Juan Ramón Lopez Laborda, Director of the Infrastructure Division in IDOM, for his more than 35 years of international experience in the field of Transportation Systems. Among the projects that he has directed in recent years are the Riyadh Metro, the new high-speed rail connection for the Baltic countries, tramway systems in Denmark or roads in Costa Rica and Georgia; in addition to studies of the impact of climate change on infrastructures and sustainable mobility plans.
As reported by the College, due to the situation caused by the pandemic, the award ceremony for 2020 Medals and College Awards will be carried out with all the security guarantees when appropriate.
