Key drivers: International collaboration in water sector
IDOM has been part of the Spanish delegation that participated in the Washington trade mission focused on the water sector. The event, co-organized by ICEX and the Private Sector Liaison Officers (PSLO), took place from January 22-25 and focused on key aspects such as infrastructure, digitalization, circular economy and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
IDOM’s participation aimed to strengthen collaboration with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and US federal agencies. During the event, we shared our experience in contracting with IFIs, offering a unique perspective on the challenges of the water sector. We emphasized the importance of digitalization and sustainability as drivers of change and competitiveness. And we highlight close collaboration with IFIs as essential to adapt to sector transformations and overcome current challenges.
The collective participation of Spanish companies reinforces our position as key drivers of water innovation and sustainability at a global level, highlighting the relevance of public-private collaboration in the sustainable development of the sector.
