Participating in the 27th edition of the IAKS Sports Facilities congress
Presenting the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and the Salburua Civic Center project
The 2021 edition of the biannual meeting of IAKS, the International Association of Sports Facilities, began on October 26 and will run until next Friday, October 29. During the four days, the current situation of the sector has been analyzed, including the impact of Covid-19 on the design of these infrastructures, as well as issues such as the global climate challenge, innovation to promote ecological sustainability and digitization and future trends. In addition, some innovative models have been presented to promote a new way of thinking about recreational facilities.
Our colleague Javier Dávila, a member of the board of directors of the IAKS Spain section, has moderated one of the congress sessions. In addition, IDOM, together with the City Council of Vitoria-Gasteiz, presented the project of the Salburua Civic Center as a model of success, combining different uses in a single facility.
