Participating in the 8th Congress on Hospital Infrastructures (Chile)
With the presentation: Designing Innovations
On September 4-6, the eighth edition of the Hospital Infrastructures Congress was held in Santiago de Chile. This is one of the most important events in the sector in Latin America.
With speakers from 17 countries, the congress attracted over 250 professionals and businessmen from the industry.
Rui Maia from IDOM presented the new building of the CUF Descobertas Hospital. This building, intended for outpatient care, has been recently constructed in Lisbon for the healthcare group José de Mello Saúde.
The implementation of a large set of innovative design strategies, agreed upon by the architects and engineers of IDOM, some of which have been used for the first time in hospital design, has given rise to a building with unique characteristics in terms of functional flexibility, comfort or energy efficiency (it is a nearly zero-energy building); achieving at the same time a singular and attractive architectural image.
Following the presentation, various public and private entities of the World of Health in Chile, congratulated the representatives of IDOM, specifically for the issues dealt with.
