Participation of IDOM in another emblematic project in Peru
After the steel plant project for Aceros Arequipa, the expansion of the Talara refinery and the Lima Convention Center, Peru has chosen us for another emblematic project: the New Central Highway.
IDOM will play a key role in the design of the New Central Highway, a landmark project in Peruvian and Latin American infrastructure. In collaboration with other leading Spanish and Peruvian engineering firms, IDOM will be part of the Qhapaq Ñan NCC Consortium, which will be in charge of developing the Definitive Engineering Study (EDI) of this ambitious highway.
The New Central Highway, also known as the Daniel Alcides Carrión Highway, will connect the metropolitan area of Lima with the Central Amazon Macro Region, benefiting more than 15 million Peruvians. With a length of 185 kilometers and elevations up to 4,700 meters above sea level, this infrastructure will include more than 35 kilometers of tunnels and 15 kilometers of bridges and viaducts, overcoming the complex orography of the region.
This project will improve the country’s connectivity and mobility and stimulate economic growth by facilitating the transportation of agricultural, mining, handicraft and other key products between the central region and the Peruvian coast.
This is an important step for IDOM and an opportunity to contribute to the development and progress of Peru. We are excited to be part of this historic project and look forward to meeting the expectations and needs of all Peruvians. Let us continue to move forward together for a better future!
