The Bizkaia Tower and the SAICA RDI building, winners of the Architecture Masterprize
On October 18, the jury of the Architecture Masterprize (AMP) announced the winning projects of its 2022 edition. Among the more than 1,000 proposals submitted, the Bizkaia Tower and the SAICA RDI building won the AMP; the former in the Restoration & Renovation category and the latter in the Industrial Buildings category.
Other winners include Zaha Hadid Architects, Sou Fujimoto and OMA.
Based in the United States, the AMP aims to become one of the most respected architectural awards and set a new benchmark for architecture and design professions across the globe. The award celebrates excellence in design and innovation in the field of architecture, interior design and landscape architecture, especially valuing and recognizing the interest in pushing boundaries and using technologies and materials to realize the seemingly impossible.
The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao will host the awards ceremony on November 24.
