The new Red Eléctrica campus, featured by international publications
The Spanish architecture magazine, Arquitectura Viva, has recently published an online article on our new Red Eléctrica campus project in Madrid, Spain.
For over 30 years, the magazine has been one of the most important architectural publications, not just in Spain, but internationally.
Wallpaper*, a prestigious publication focusing on design and architecture, fashion, travel, art and lifestyle, has also included the Campus project in its architecture section entitled Building blocks: striking structures around the globe for 2018.
The Red Eléctrica Campus involved the integral rehabilitation of two buildings in the Tres Cantos Technology Park, Madrid. The Campus was adapted to the new training and technological needs of the company, with the modernization of the building envelope to achieve all the energy efficiency requirements.
The buildings have been fully restored to assure energy efficiency, applying passive strategies to improve the energy performance: insulation on the roof, blind façades (no openings); high-performance glass and carpentry; solar protection and air infiltration control. The energy performance solutions of the building were implemented to a high technical standard.
