The Salburua Civic Centre rises to victory in the WAF Awards
THE WORLD ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL, PERHAPS THE LARGEST ARCHITECTURAL EVENT IN THE WORLD
The 2016 edition of the World Architecture Festival, held in the Berlin Arena in November, is the biggest international architectural event in the world. Gonzalo Carro, head architect of the team of IDOM professionals who designed the project and construction managed the building works of the Salburua Civic Centre, travelled to Berlin where his live presentation of the project won over the public and jury. A total of 785 proposals were submitted to the festival.
In 2016, the Salburua Civic Centre also further recognition. It was finalist in the WAN Awards (World Architecture News), in the Civic Buildings category.
