We promote the XTELA Programme: Innovation and collaboration in Cantabria

The XTELA Acceleration and Open Innovation Program, a pioneering initiative in Cantabria, has successfully completed its second edition. This program, aligned with the strategic sectors of the RIS3, has promoted collaboration between startups and tractor companies, driving innovation and growth of the business fabric in the region.

In IDOM we have had the opportunity to accompany the Government of Cantabria in the design, launch and management of the program during its first two editions, playing a crucial role through the accompaniment of the companies in the definition of challenges, the scouting of startups, the organization of matching days and the monitoring of projects between startups and companies.

XTELA has succeeded in connecting startups with tractor companies to address key challenges in sectors such as the Blue Economy, health, sustainable tourism, bioeconomy and industry 4.0. This combination of creativity and adaptability of startups with the experience and resources of established companies has fostered an innovative and dynamic ecosystem. IDOM has carried out the integral management of XTELA, highlighting the development of the startup acceleration program, consisting of training, mentoring and networking actions.

Outstanding results:

Company Participation: 29 traction companies involved, and 131 startups attracted, reaching a total of 283 registrations.
Formal Collaborations: 13 collaboration contracts formalized between companies and startups.
Key Events: Organization of key events such as Demo Day and Xtela Connect, coordinated by IDOM for investors, companies and startups.
Consolidated Impact: A 25% recurrence rate of companies in the second edition.
Brand Strategy: Creation of a brand image and communication strategy for the program, developed by IDOM.

The XTELA program has established itself as an essential platform for business acceleration and open innovation in Cantabria. Among its main achievements are the creation of a collaborative ecosystem between companies and startups, the implementation of key technologies in strategic sectors and the promotion of a culture of innovation in the region. The organization of events such as Demo Day and the implementation of a communication strategy have made it possible to make startups visible and connect them with investors and driving companies, facilitating new opportunities for growth and development.
