İç Anadolu Combined Cycle Power Plant in Kirikkale – 840 MW
Turkey
The plant, owned by İÇANADOLU DOĞAL GAZ ELEKTRİK ÜRETİM ve TİCARET A.Ş, is located on the outskirts of Ankara, next to the city of Kirikkale, and has been built by the Consortium consisting of GAMA and General Electric.
It is a Combined Cycle Power Plant with 840 MW of multi-axis power in 2x2x1 configuration, including two GE Model PG9371 (FB) gas turbines, two recovery boilers with three pressure levels and a GE steam turbine. The main cooling is done by means of an air condenser.
After commissioning the plant in 2016, the facility supplies 6,300 GWh per year, which corresponds to 2.5% of the country’s electricity needs and about 50% of Ankara’s electricity consumption.
For GAMA-GE, IDOM has developed the detailed engineering of the plant, as well as providing on-site technical assistance during the construction, assembly, and commissioning phases.
