IDOM has been providing Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) with owner’s engineering services (Design-Build Engineer & Owner’s Representative) for this project which will improve and extend the Al Ghabawi urban municipal solid waste landfill in Jordan. The project is funded by the World Bank (WB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The scope of these services includes the Design Review and Supervision of works consisting of the re-grading and sealing of existing cells (4), the extraction and recirculation of leachate, the biogas collection system and the energy recovery plant of the biogas (4.6 MWe).
Additionally, IDOM has carried out the Detail Design of 4 new cells (including the leachate extraction system and 4 storage reservoirs), and the Technical Audit of the construction of Cell 5.
The design of this Project complies with the standards of the European Directive.
