Assistance to CVAM in the technological decision, orientation and strategic planning processes
Spain
The mission of the HAZI Foundation is to coordinate and catalyze strategic projects to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of the Food and Wood Value Chain (CVAM), as well as to revitalize the rural and coastal environment of the Basque Country. One of its main objectives is the digital transformation of the food sector. To achieve this, it has developed several strategic initiatives with the support of IDOM as technical secretariat.
The set of activities carried out by IDOM during the consultancy included:
- Coordination, dynamization of participatory processes and search for synergies with other CVAM members.
- Support in the evaluation and management of grants related to digitalization and innovation.
- Monitoring of the environment through benchmarking of digital solutions in the sector and a study of trends.
- Elaboration of a digital scorecard where the technological capabilities and needs of the different agents in the sector are collected.
- Preparation of a report on digital trends in the CVAM.
- Search for digital transformation opportunities in companies of the food sector.
As a result, the digital transformation of the agents that make up the Basque food ecosystem has been boosted, improving the efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness of the sector as a whole.
