The Algeciras Port Authority has an advanced corporate Geographic Information System (GIS) that allows it to manage the information and assets of its different departments. This system includes integrations with different computer platforms and data formats.

IDOM has been responsible for the integral management of this platform, which includes governance, maintenance, data integration and evolutionary maintenance. Our main activities include:

• Data governance: Generation and adaptation of geographic information, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Data import and maintenance: We guarantee an efficient data update cycle, providing the port with mobile field applications and plugins (ArcGIS for AutoCAD) and customized developments.
• GIS solutions: Analysis, design, development and implementation of GIS solutions tailored to the port’s needs.
• Specialized consulting: We consult with each port department to understand their needs and plan improvements to the GIS platform, solving real problems and optimizing its use.
• Evolutionary tasks: These include improving the management of updating processes, developing the port’s digital twin, BIM-GIS integration and optimizing the utility network (water, electricity and telecommunications).
