Together with the work carried out for the analysis of options for the expansion of Luton Airport, and the development of the Mater Plan, the London Luton Airport Group Limited (LLAGL) contracted IDOM to provide architectural services, the design of structures and installations for the expansion project of the Passenger Terminal.
The expansion project of the Luton Airport Passenger Terminal which will allow the airport to handle up to 21.5 million passengers per year, includes the reconfiguration of the internal distribution of the Terminal, construction of a new boarding dock, reconfiguration of the accesses and an extension of the façade. On the apron side there will be a new 3-point contact area and a new 4-point remote and contact area), taxiway modifications and 2 new taxiways.
