The objective of ProMéxico is to promote international trade and investment in the country. In order to facilitate Mexican SMEs’ access to the European Union market, the program has sought to increase their competitiveness through the incorporation of technologies and innovation processes.
Strengthening the Mexican business network through a competitiveness and innovation program in cooperation with the European Union.
The services provided in this project have included
- Capacity building for innovation and technology transfer of Mexican SMEs to the level required to export to the EU.
- Comprehensive assistance in the implementation of certification processes for the commercialization of products and services in the EU market through an initial diagnosis and continuous technical assistance throughout the process.
Improved the Business and Trade Intelligence system and trade information systems through the development and implementation of internationalization plans for a group of companies selected for their high export potential.
The technical capabilities and strategies of a large number of Mexican SMEs have been strengthened to facilitate their penetration of the European market. In addition, market access has involved scientific, technological and innovation development in SMEs.
