The new Alierta technology district in Aragon will be located in a green lung, surrounded by trees, next to the river and has 79 hectares where universities, research and entrepreneurship centres, SMEs and large national and international technology companies, and residential spaces (cohousing and hospitality) will coexist, as well as other complementary uses and services. Located on the Río Ebro university campus (Zaragoza), it will become a reality in 2029 with the aim of creating ‘the best possible innovation ecosystem’, with the aspiration of becoming one of the most important in Spain and Europe, said Eduardo.
Work will begin in 2027.
