Salalah (120,000 m³/day), the plant with the capacity to adapt to the climatic conditions of the area
Oman
The Consortium between ABENGOA and WEBUILD (formerly FISIA ITALIMPIANTI) contracted IDOM to carry out the basic and detailed engineering of the Salalah plant, which, with a production capacity of 120,000 m³/day of drinking water, is characterized by having a comprehensive three-stage pretreatment (DAF, DMGF, and DMPF) capable of ensuring the necessary quality at the inlet of the reverse osmosis membranes, even during episodes of the “Khareef” meteorological phenomenon, which significantly worsens the seawater quality (increase in suspended solids, algae, and turbidity).
