The Serena del Mar Hospital Complex (CHSDM) is a high complexity general hospital that has patient and family care at the heart of its operating model. This is the vision of the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation, a leading institution in the provision of health services in Colombia and the region, chosen to operate this Hospital Center.

The first stage involves the construction of blocks 1 and 2, a total area of 44,000 m2, housing: 150 beds, 7 surgery theatres, 98 individual hospitalization rooms, 53 individual intensive care units for adults, pediatrics and neonatal, a hemodynamics unit, and around 400 workspaces. This will permit the provision of medical care of diverse and complex clinical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. In addition, it will have an institute specialized in oncology, which will offer comprehensive cancer management, with chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
The functions developed within the services provided for due diligence included the review of the technical feasibility of the project, the technical review of the designs, the project calendar in terms of construction, delivery and commissioning activities; in addition to the review of the project budget, the “business case” and the market plan, and the prioritization of project risk.
Within the scope of the services provided for monitoring the construction process, are activities such as monitoring the progress in the execution of the designs and works; compliance with the financial model; supervision of the activities carried out, monthly on-site review of the progress of construction;, and monitoring the process of supplying medical supplies and equipment.
