IDOM has provided engineering services for several plants in Argentina, Brazil and Spain.

Detailed engineering for two projects in Pindamonhangaba (Brazil)

New facility for rolling round rods of special steel, with a capacity of 650,000 tons per year, mainly for the automotive sector.
Civil works, foundations and other structural elements, as well as the water treatment plant, for SMS CONCAST Billet Caster (6 strand lines), with a capacity of 1 million tons per year.

Basic engineering for the Rio Grande do Sul project (Brazil)

New steelworks in the plant in the south of the country, to replace the existing steel mill, improving the standards of quality, productivity and state of the art. Intended for a production of 1 million tons of steel annually (common grade). The scope included both lay-out and process engineering, complete construction (civil works and structures) as well as utilities and installations of pipes, electrical systems, and instrumentation and control.
