IDOM has been assisting the Federal Institute of Telecommunications of Mexico in the modernization of the telecommunications sector in the country, the management of telecommunications services, and the strategic planning and the monitoring of the modernization process. For this, a strategic roadmap, strategic sector and project indicators have been defined to finally develop a Comprehensive Scorecard and define the forecast model.
The importance of Telecommunications and Broadcasting in the political, social and economic development of the country is unquestionable. The urgent need for a healthy environment for competition between the various licensees and authorized permit holders, operating in the regulated sectors is very clear in the agenda imposed by the regulatory framework.
Therefore, the General Coordination of Strategic Planning (CGPE) based on what is established in Article 72, section I, requested through the technical cooperation of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) with the Mexican government, support services to update and modernize – in the short, medium and long term – the strategies of the Federal Telecommunications Institute.
With the multidisciplinary nature and expertise of the IDOM team, ranging from telecommunications services management to strategic planning and process monitoring, it has been possible to address the client’s problem, always providing a level of quality that can be observed in each of the deliverables of the project.
