Sustainable, inclusive and resilient territorial and tourism development in the province of Cienfuegos

The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) has contracted IDOM to assist the Provincial Government of the Popular Power of Cienfuegos, Cuba, to carry out diagnostics, operational plans and then the elaboration of investment project profiles and their feasibility in an investment plan. The objective is to promote the economic development of the province through the promotion of tourism, hand in hand with the conversion and rehabilitation of buildings of heritage value in the historic center of Cienfuegos.
The objective is to achieve the urban regeneration of the maritime front and the connection between the Historic Center and the sea, as well as the refunctionalization of corridors of historic value in the Historic Center for economic dynamization.
Complementary investment profiles have also been developed for regional development projects, such as the Center for Knowledge Management and Innovation, in alliance with the University of Cienfuegos, and the Center for Watershed Management, in alliance with the Center for Environmental Studies of Cienfuegos.
